Downend Man Jailed for Sexual Assault and Stalking

A Downend man was jailed after being convicted of sexually assaulting one woman and stalking another.

A jury found Aaron Gent, 30, of Maggs Close, guilty of two sex offences, while he admitted to additional charges including stalking, causing criminal damage, and harassment.

In total, Gent was convicted of five offenses and sentenced to 20 months in prison by Judge William Hart.

During the sentencing, Judge Hart stated: "The offending indicates wholly inappropriate behavior by you to both these women. Women should not be expected to tolerate it. Those who offend in this way should expect custodial sentences."
