Paedophile Sentenced to 11 Years in Prison for Rape and Sexual Assault of a Child

Adam Such, 21, of Prislow Fields, Falmouth, was sentenced to 11 years and two months in prison at Truro Crown Court on Friday, April 1. He pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault of a child under 13, rape of a child under 13, and possession of indecent images.

The offenses occurred between April 29, 2021 and May 28, 2021. Such was also charged with the rape of a girl under 13 in May, 2021, engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 13, and the sexual exploitation of a child under 13 by involvement in pornography.

Initially pleading not guilty at magistrates court, Such later changed his plea to guilty. A victim impact statement read out in court stated that Such's actions had a "devastating" effect on the family.

In addition to his prison sentence, Such was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order until further notice. He must also sign the sex offender register and pay a victim surcharge.
