Halifax Man Jailed for 16 Years for Sexual Offenses Against 14 Children

Aidan Firth, 26, of HMP Armley, was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on Tuesday, November 21st for multiple sexual offenses against 14 child victims.

The offenses included rape of a child, sexual activity with a child, inciting a child into sexual activity, and sexual assault. Firth was sentenced to 16 years in prison and was also made the subject of a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The offenses took place between 2015 and 2020 and involved 14 victims, all under the age of 18 at the time of the offenses.

The case came to light in 2015 when one of the victims reported the offenses to the police. An investigation was launched by the Calderdale Child Safeguarding Unit.

During the investigation, more victims came forward and disclosed additional offenses. Firth was arrested in 2020 and subsequently charged. He was found guilty by a jury after a three-week trial at Bradford Crown Court in September 2023.
