Sex offender jailed over 'most grave' offences.

Man Jailed for 12 Years for Sexual Offences Against Children

Alan Robert Henneberry, 34, of Grantham, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being found guilty of a string of sexual offences against children.

The offences occurred in 2019 and 2020 against two victims under the age of 13. Henneberry was convicted on September 16th following a trial at Lincoln Crown Court.

Lincolnshire Police described the offences as "some of the most grave" and highlighted the serious harm caused to the children involved.

Henneberry, of Shaw Road, Grantham, was charged with:

• Two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity
• One count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child
• One count of sexual assault of a child by sexual touching

He had previously pleaded guilty to charges of possession, making, and taking indecent images of children.

Det Con Helen Morris, of Lincolnshire Police's protecting vulnerable persons unit, stated: "There is no length of sentence that could make up for the actions of this man. He is guilty of some of the most grave offences, causing the most serious harm to children."

She also expressed gratitude to the victims and witnesses for their strength, which ultimately helped put "this dangerous man behind bars."

Henneberry has been added to the sex offenders register for life and is subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
