Guilty of various accounts of rape and assault.

Alexander Freeman was found guilty of the following charges on 19 November 2020:

• Charge 2: Assault to Injury
• Charge 4: Rape
• Charge 6: Assault
• Charge 8: Contravention of the Children and Young Persons (Scotland) Act 1937, Section 12 (1) as amended
• Charge 9: Assault to Injury
• Charge 10: Contravention of Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009

On 17 December 2020 at Glasgow High Court, Freeman was sentenced as follows:

• Charge 2: Imprisonment for 3 years
• Charge 6: Imprisonment for 2 years
• Charge 8: Imprisonment for 3 years
• Charge 9: Imprisonment for 3 years
• Charges 4 and 10: Imprisonment in terms of Section 210A of the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995 for 8 years, comprising a custodial period of 6 years and an extended period of 2 years.

All sentences were to run concurrently and were backdated to 19 November 2020.
