Man Jailed for Attempting to Sexually Assault Two Children

Alfred Dempster, 57, has been sentenced to two years and six months in prison for attempting to lure two children into sexual activity.

Dempster initiated contact with what he believed to be an 11-year-old girl on KIK Messenger in January 2020. He later moved the conversation to WhatsApp, where he made explicit requests, including asking the child to send a nude photo, touch themselves, and call him "daddy."

However, Dempster was actually communicating with a member of an online child activist group. The contact ended on January 9, 2020.

In November 2020, Dempster began a similar conversation with another decoy posing as a 14-year-old girl. He again requested photos, expressed a desire to have sex, and encouraged the child to touch themselves.

Dempster was arrested at his home in Wisbech on January 11, 2021, and his electronic devices were seized. He pleaded guilty to two counts of attempting to incite a girl to engage in sexual activity and was sentenced at Peterborough Crown Court.

Two additional counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, which Dempster denied, were dismissed.
