'Sexual deviant' who exposed himself while cycling also had sickening images of children on his phone.
A serial flasher who exposed himself to women and girls while riding a bicycle was found to possess dozens of indecent images of children on his phone.
Ammar Chaudhry, 26, of Elmtree Avenue, North Ferriby, was apprehended after an off-duty police officer witnessed his actions while driving with his family. Chaudhry admitted to three counts of making indecent images of children and one count of possessing indecent images.
Police discovered 311 files containing indecent images of children on Chaudhry's phone, including 41 in the most serious category, and 42 videos in the same category. Prohibited images were also found on his laptop and computer.
Chaudhry claimed he downloaded the images out of curiosity and had no sexual interest in children. He maintained that no children were harmed in the images.
Chaudhry had a history of exposure offenses, including one near a school. He had previously received a 30-week suspended prison sentence, rehabilitation orders, and a sexual harm prevention order.
The court heard that Chaudhry had exposed himself on multiple occasions while riding his bicycle towards vulnerable women and young girls. He had also pursued a 16-year-old girl and exposed himself to her, leaving her "disgusted and uncomfortable."
Chaudhry was given an eight-week suspended prison sentence, and his existing sexual harm prevention order was extended. He will also have to register as a sex offender for seven years.
