Rapist Antanas Jancevskis Jailed For Attack

Antanas Jancevskis, a 35-year-old man from Boston, Lincolnshire, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for raping a woman he met just hours earlier.

The incident occurred on the night of April 17, 2022, after both Jancevskis and the victim attended a barbecue in Leicester. The victim was taken home by friends and went to sleep on her sofa, but awoke to find Jancevskis lying beside her. He subsequently raped her.

When Jancevskis went to the toilet, the victim fled her flat and alerted a member of the public who called the police. Jancevskis was arrested in the early hours of April 18, 2022.

Jancevskis stood trial at Leicester Crown Court where he was found guilty of one count of rape on February 19, 2025. He was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment and will be placed on the sex offender register for life.
