Sick Sex Offender Jailed for Preying on Young Girl

Anthony Fallows, 40, of Raglan Road in Burnley, has been sentenced to seven years and nine months in prison for engaging in sexual activity with a girl between the ages of 13 and 15.

Fallows was found guilty following a trial at Bradford Crown Court. The offenses were said to have taken place in the Southowram area.

He was sentenced on Thursday, January 18th.

Detective Constable Carly Hemingway of West Yorkshire Police's Calderdale District Safeguarding commented on the sentencing, stating: "I'd like to thank the victim who has shown tremendous strength to come forward and report this. She feels that she has now got the justice she deserves."

Hemingway continued, "Our dedicated child protection team here in Calderdale is committed to investigating and supporting the victims of sexual offenses. I hope the jailing of Fallows demonstrates that, no matter when the offense took place, victims will be believed and treated with sensitivity and dignity."
