Corby Paedophile Sentenced Again for Failing to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements
Anthony Farrow, a Corby paedophile previously jailed for 16 months in 2021, has been sentenced again for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Farrow, 34, was caught in an online sting by paedophile hunters in 2021 and subsequently placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years. This means he must notify police of his address, bank details, travel plans, and whether he lives with a child.
However, on November 30, Farrow failed to notify police within seven days of having no fixed address, as required by the registration rules. This resulted in him being charged with failing to comply with the requirements.
At Wellingborough Magistrates' Court, Farrow pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined £100, ordered to pay costs of £85, and a surcharge of £40 to fund victim services.
The court heard that Farrow had previously sent inappropriate messages to a Facebook user he believed to be 13 years old, encouraging sexual acts and sending lewd images. He also tried to video call the individual.
However, he was unknowingly communicating with a paedophile hunter group, who confronted him at his home after he provided his address. Farrow admitted to contacting 10 children in total.
Despite admitting to three child sex offences, Farrow was reluctant to acknowledge the sexual nature of his actions. He is currently subject to a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, restricting his contact with children and internet use.
