Anthony Stallard Sentenced for Assault

Anthony Stallard, 30, of Alverstone Road, Southsea, pleaded guilty to assault by beating in Fareham on June 28. He was sentenced to eight weeks in jail by Portsmouth magistrates.

In addition to the jail sentence, Stallard was ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge, a standard requirement imposed by the court.

Magistrates declined to impose any compensation to the victim.

Stallard also admitted to failing to surrender to court from bail but did not receive a separate penalty for this offense.

His guilty plea to the assault was considered when determining his sentence.
