Rapist Arron Jackson Jailed for Attacking Sleeping Woman

Arron Jackson, 29, has been sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison for raping a sleeping woman in Berkshire.

Jackson, of Grovelands Road in Reading, went to the woman's property to watch a film. The woman fell asleep, and woke up to find Jackson raping her. He immediately fled the scene.

Jackson was charged with rape in 2020 and was convicted by a majority jury at Reading Crown Court in April.

He was sentenced last week at Aylesbury Crown Court and will also have to sign the Sex Offenders' Register.

Detective Constable Kevin Godding of Thames Valley Police, said: "I am pleased that Jackson has been convicted and sentenced for his crime. The victim has shown great courage to come forward and report this crime and I would like to thank her for supporting our investigation leading to Jackson's imprisonment. I hope that this conviction shows that Thames Valley Police will do all it can to investigate sexual offences and bring offenders to justice."
