Planned to sexually abuse children and was caught with 315 indecent images of children.

"Depraved" child predator jailed for five years

Bradley Anderson, 28, of Clarendon Road, Southampton, was sentenced to five years in prison at Southampton Crown Court for his crimes related to the creation and possession of indecent images of children.

The court heard that Anderson was arrested in August 2022 as part of a police investigation. Analysis of his electronic devices revealed a horrifying collection of child abuse material, including:

• 22 Category A images (the most serious)
• 10 Category B images
• 40 Category C images
• 2 prohibited images
• 253 images classed as extreme pornography

Further investigation uncovered messages on Anderson's phone, which he attempted to conceal from officers, suggesting he was actively involved in arranging the sexual abuse of young children.

Anderson pleaded guilty to the following charges in March:

• Arranging/facilitating the commission of a child sexual offence
• Three counts of making indecent images of children
• Possession of prohibited images of a child
• Possession of extreme pornography

In addition to his five-year sentence, Anderson will serve an extended four-year license period upon release. He has also been issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which will remain in effect indefinitely.
