Swindon Man Convicted of Sexually Assaulting Teenager at Restaurant
A Swindon man has been sentenced for sexually assaulting a teenage boy while managing a restaurant.
Carl Brown, 61, was found guilty at Swindon Magistrates' Court in September 2023 of assaulting the boy at Jack's, a restaurant he ran in Victoria Road, Old Town, in 2022.
During the trial, prosecutor Asha Seenauth stated that Brown had grabbed the boy's penis and inserted his finger into the boy's bottom over his clothing.
On January 4, 2024, Brown was sentenced to a 12-month community order, which includes 30 rehabilitation activity days and 150 hours of unpaid work.
In addition to the community order, Brown was ordered to pay £300 in compensation to the victim, £620 in costs, and a £95 surcharge. He must also register as a sex offender for five years.
Brown, who resides on Highworth Road, was found guilty at his trial and sentenced at Swindon Magistrates' Court.
