Carl Jones Sentenced to Life for Rape and Sexual Abuse of 11 Children

Carl Jones, a 57-year-old man from Little Hulton in Salford, Greater Manchester, has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 25 and a half years.

Jones was convicted at Minshull Street Crown Court for 47 offences committed between 2002 and 2023. These offenses include multiple counts of rape of a child under the age of 13, oral rape of a child under the age of 13, sexual assault of children both under and over the age of 13, engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, causing a child to engage in sexual activity, and indecent assault.

He pleaded guilty to all charges on September 9th, 2024, and will remain on the sex offender registry indefinitely.

Jones was found guilty of grooming and sexually abusing 11 children over a period spanning two decades. His case highlights the devastating impact of child sexual abuse and the importance of bringing perpetrators to justice.
