Sex Offender Admits to Public Indecency

Chloe Thompson, a sex offender, has admitted to multiple acts of public indecency, including exposing her penis, using a sex toy, and masturbating in public. The incidents, deemed "grossly offensive" by the court, occurred in daylight and were witnessed by members of the public, including children.

Thompson's offenses took place on August 13, 2022, in the Borough Road area of Middlesbrough. One incident involved Thompson performing a sex act on herself in a back alleyway while wearing a black wig, a ra-ra skirt, and a midriff-length top. She was seen thrusting against a wheelie bin and using a sex toy.

In another instance, Thompson was seen exposing herself on Cromer Street, where she resided at the time. Witnesses described seeing a person wearing women's clothing lifting and playing with their penis.

The most disturbing incident involved Thompson standing in the window of her home, exposing her bum and making thrusting movements, which were witnessed by three children, aged 10, 11, and 14. The children's grandmother saw the act and described it as "grossly offensive."

Thompson, who has a history of 17 convictions for 22 offenses, was already subject to a suspended sentence order for sexually assaulting an underage girl. She had also breached her notification requirements as a sex offender 11 times.

Thompson's defense attorney argued that she is "an individual who feels, at this point in her life, very optimistic and hopeful for the future." He explained that she is transitioning and has changed her name to Chloe Thompson. She is currently attending a gender clinic and is hoping to undergo gender reassignment surgery.

Thompson has also served in the armed forces and is seeking to join the Army Reserve. She has recently undertaken courses for working in the wind turbine industry and is hopeful for employment.

Thompson pleaded guilty to three charges: committing public nuisance by indecent exposure, committing an act outraging public decency, and outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner. She will be sentenced at Teesside Crown Court on March 15.
