Huntly Man Placed on Sex Offenders Register After Child Abuse Images Found

A Huntly man has been placed on the sex offenders register after police raided his home and found his device full of indecent images and videos of children.

Christopher Barron, 29, appeared in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court where he admitted having over 400 images and around 40 videos featuring child abuse.

The court heard that police executed a warrant at Barron's home and seized his electronic devices. Upon examination, they discovered a large number of indecent images and videos of children, categorized as ranging from Category A (the most serious) to Category C.

Barron was sentenced to a community payback order with supervision for two years, and was placed on the sex offenders register for the same period.
