Serial Paedophile Jailed for Historical Sex Offenses
Colin McKissock, 70, formerly of Watford, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for a string of historical sex offenses. McKissock was found guilty of 11 counts of sexual assault/indecency against a boy aged between 11 and 13 and two sexual assaults on a girl under 14. The offenses were reported to have occurred at his Watford home in the 1990s.
The investigation began in March 2018 when one of the victims disclosed the abuse to police. This followed McKissock's conviction for separate child sexual offenses committed against two females in Scotland during the 1980s.
Despite denying the new allegations, McKissock was convicted in early February following a two-week trial. He was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday (April 11).
In addition to the prison sentence, McKissock was given two years additional licence, a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), and has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
Investigator Trevor Acors, who led the case, stated: "McKissock has shown absolutely no remorse for his actions and cruelly put his victims through a trial. Though nothing will ever make up for his despicable crimes, I am pleased with the sentence handed down."
Acors commended the victims' courage in coming forward and reliving their ordeals. He also thanked a previous victim for providing further evidence in the case.
Any victims of sexual abuse are urged to come forward, regardless of how long ago the offenses occurred. Victims can contact officers via 101 or on Herts Police's website.
