Craig Coney Jailed for Grooming and Sexually Exploiting 15-Year-Old Girl

A known sex offender has been jailed after he sexually exploited a 15-year-old girl.

Craig Coney, 37, of no fixed abode in Devizes, groomed and treated the girl as if he was in a relationship with her for more than six months. Coney was found guilty of five counts of penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 15 years on no fewer than 13 occasions at a trial.

On December 20, 2024, at Salisbury Crown Court he was sentenced to nine years imprisonment. He is also subject to the requirements of being a registered sex offender and an indefinite sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) which prohibits him from contacting the victim and having any unsupervised contact with any females under 16.
