Huddersfield Man Jailed for Sexual Assault of Young Girl

Daniel Hill, 29, has been sentenced to three years in prison after being found guilty of sexual assault against a young girl. The offenses, which occurred in Kirklees in 2021, involved sexual touching and attempted sexual touching.

Hill was sentenced on Tuesday, October 11, at Leeds Crown Court. He will serve an additional 10 months in prison for a previous unrelated offense for which he received a suspended sentence.

West Yorkshire Police stated that Hill's offenses were reported immediately and he was swiftly apprehended.

DC Natalie Green of the Kirklees District Safeguarding Unit praised the courage of the victim and her family for coming forward and supporting the prosecution. She stated, "Their bravery has resulted in a sex offender now being behind bars."

Green emphasized the commitment of specialist officers to thoroughly investigate all reports of sexual offenses. She urged victims to come forward, assuring them that they would receive justice and support from authorities and partner organizations.
