Gardener Sentenced for Indecent Exposure in Dorset

Darren Salmon, 41, of Salisbury Green, Southampton, was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Monday, November 11, for eight counts of indecent exposure. He was given a three-year community order, including a 35-day accredited program and a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement. Salmon was also placed on the sex offenders register for five years.

The incidents occurred between August 1 and September 6, 2018, while Salmon worked as a gardener in the Bridport area. He exposed himself to several women, aged 19 to 92, at various addresses where he was working.

Salmon claimed his trouser zip was broken or that he had been stung by an insect before asking for assistance from his victims, revealing his exposure at that point.

Following reports from the victims, Salmon was arrested on September 9, 2018.

PC Kerry Cordier of Dorset Police's Volume Crime Team stated: "These incidents were distressing for the victims involved, and I would like to thank all of them who came forward and assisted our investigation."
