Man Jailed for Sex Acts in Front of Young Girl

A man has been sentenced to two years and three months in prison for performing sex acts in front of a young girl.

David Robinson, 46, was found guilty of two counts of sexual activity in the presence of a child. The incidents occurred on two separate occasions when Robinson masturbated in front of the girl, who was of primary school age at the time.

The court heard that Robinson's actions left the victim afraid to be alone and unable to feel comfortable with men. She has since sought counseling but struggles to talk about what happened and feels uncomfortable around men as a result.

The judge described the incidents as "appalling" and noted that Robinson had previous convictions related to exposure in 2008 and 2010.

Robinson was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court. In addition to his prison sentence, he was also given a restraining order indefinitely, required to sign as a sex offender on the register indefinitely, and subjected to a sexual harm prevention order indefinitely.
