Pensioner Found Guilty of Sexually Assaulting Child in Southampton
David Seagrave, 83, was found guilty by a jury of six charges, including two allegations of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and sexual assault of a child.
He was also convicted of a single count of exposure at Southampton Crown Court on Thursday.
The case has now been adjourned until May 31 for sentencing.
Seagrave, of Witts Hill, Southampton was found not guilty of an allegation of sexual assault. He was also cleared of an allegation that he exposed himself in a pub.
During his closing speech earlier in the trial, Simon Walters raised doubts about the prosecution's witnesses saying that the alleged exposure in the pub "just doesn't make sense". The pensioner denied all the offences.
