Marloes Pensioner Admits to Child Abuse Images

Derek Lister, 72, a former volunteer instructor for junior sailing, has pleaded guilty to creating indecent images of children.

Lister appeared at Swansea Crown Court on Thursday, September 30, where he admitted to creating 3 indecent category A images, 14 indecent category B images, and 152 indecent category C images of children.

The former teacher had initially intended to plead not guilty but changed his plea when presented with the weight of evidence against him.

Lister was sentenced to a 4-month jail term, suspended for two years, and ordered to complete 150 hours of community service. This suspended sentence means that if he commits any further offense within the next two years, he will be immediately incarcerated.

It is understood that Lister has now moved away from Pembrokeshire. The sentencing was delayed from an earlier date due to technical issues with the court's video link system.
