Registered Sex Offender Sent Back to Prison for Breaching Tracker Order
A registered sex offender from Northamptonshire, Elando Parsi, has been sent back to prison after breaching his sexual harm prevention order. Parsi, previously of Brackley, was required to wear a Buddi Tracker device at all times as part of his order, which was in place until August 2, 2025.
The device, which allows Northamptonshire Police to monitor Parsi's location, was fitted with instructions on how to charge it. Parsi was warned about the consequences of not wearing the tracker, but he allowed it to run out of battery on four separate occasions in August.
Lead Investigator PC Gemma Glover stated: "Elando Parsi was the first case where we successfully included wearing a Buddi tracker as part of his sexual harm prevention order. This incident highlights the severe consequences of choosing to ignore these requirements."
"I am pleased he has been returned to prison as it sends a strong message to other registered sex offenders that breaches will not be tolerated by Northamptonshire Police," added Glover.
Parsi pleaded guilty to four counts of breaching his sexual harm prevention order at Northampton Magistrates' Court on August 31. He was sentenced to one year and five months in prison at Northampton Crown Court on October 11.
