Baxenden Man Jailed for Sexually Abusing Two Children

Eoin Kelly, now 29, has been sentenced to two years in prison for sexually abusing two children. Kelly, who was a juvenile himself at the time of the offences, was convicted in June of rape, three counts of sexual assault on a child and four counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

One of the victims disclosed the abuse in 2020, leading to an investigation that revealed a second victim who also came forward with a complaint against Kelly.

Kelly, of Alliance Street, was found guilty following a trial and sentenced to two years imprisonment.

Det Sgt Craig Atkinson of Lancashire Police said: "These were very serious offences committed by Eoin Kelly against two young victims. He was himself a youngster at the time."

"Reports of sexual offences are always taken extremely seriously by Lancashire Police, whether they are recent or non-recent. If offences are reported from a number of years ago, we will always investigate fully and attempt to bring offenders to justice."
