Convicted Double Murderer Eoin O'Toole Jailed For Sex Chat with Underage Girl Decoy

A convicted double murderer who engaged in a sex chat with someone he thought was an underage girl has been sentenced to an additional 22 months in prison. Eoin O'Toole, 58, was caught by a paedophile-hunting group after using a smuggled mobile phone to send explicit images from North Sea Camp, an open prison near Boston.

Lincoln Crown Court heard that O'Toole had been released on temporary licence in January and bought the phone at an Asda supermarket. The following month, he used it to engage in sexually suggestive conversations with a Facebook user who he believed was 14 years old.

Prosecutor Tom Heath stated that O'Toole initially used a false name but later revealed his identity and criminal history. He engaged in increasingly explicit conversations, asking for photographs and making inappropriate comments about sex.

The paedophile-hunting group alerted prison authorities on February 15th after O'Toole sent two naked pictures of himself. The mobile phone was discovered during a search of his cell.

O'Toole was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1991 for the murders of his grandmother and her sister, which he committed to cover up a theft to fund his cocaine addiction.

Judge Philip Head expressed concern over O'Toole’s actions and stated that he posed a danger, particularly to young females. O'Toole was ordered to register as a sex offender for life and returned to closed conditions at a higher-security prison.
