Tipi Hire Company General Manager Pleads Guilty to Fraud and Sex Offenses
Gareth Fearnley Edwards, 40, admitted to committing fraud and sex offenses in Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on June 29th. Edwards, the general manager of Big Chief Tipis in Bolton, was found to have falsified freelancers' invoices and pocketed the funds.
In a separate case at Bolton Crown Court on July 5th, Edwards pleaded guilty to recording a person doing a private act and making an indecent picture of a child. However, he pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempting to possess indecent pictures of a child, another count of recording a person doing a private act, and another count of making an indecent picture of a child.
Edwards will stand trial for the offenses he denies. The trial is scheduled to begin on June 6, 2022. He has been released on bail until then.
