Former Carshalton Teacher Gary Vigar Charged with Rape and Sexual Activity With a Child

A former teacher from Carshalton has been charged with multiple child sex offences and rape.

Gary Vigar, 32, appeared at Croydon Crown Court on Wednesday (December 4) where he pleaded not guilty to eight charges dating back to 2020. The charges include three counts of sexual activity with a child, three counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, one count of rape and one count of sexual activity without consent.

Vigar previously worked as a teacher at Oaks Park High School in Carshalton. Judge Deborah Charles set a trial date for November next year, which is expected to last two weeks.
