Humza Khan Jailed for Raping Vulnerable 12-Year-Old Girl in Nottingham

A predatory sex offender has been sentenced to nine years and three months in prison for raping a vulnerable 12-year-old girl in Nottingham.

Humza Khan, aged 29, lured the victim to a park near Crown Island on the night of May 18th, 2022, where he subjected her to a prolonged sexual assault. Detectives utilized CCTV footage and Khan's own mobile phone number, which he had given to the victim prior to the attack, to link him to the crime scene.

The victim positively identified Khan during a controlled identification procedure. Despite giving no comment answers to detectives during his police interview, Khan ultimately pleaded guilty to rape at Nottingham Crown Court on March 7th, 2023.

In addition to his prison sentence, Khan has been issued a sexual harm prevention order that restricts almost all contact with children for the next 15 years. He will also remain on the sex offenders register for life.
