Jack Trollope Jailed for Sending Sick Images to 13-Year-Old Girl
Lincoln man sentenced for sexually explicit messages to a 13-year-old girl
Jack Trollope, a 37-year-old from Lincoln, was sentenced to two years in prison for sending sexually explicit messages and images to a 13-year-old girl. The offences took place in Fairfax Street, Lincoln.
Trollope pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing at Lincoln Crown Court to engaging in sexual communication with a child and sending a photograph of his private area with the intention of causing alarm, distress or humiliation.
Prior to these offenses, Trollope was already registered as a sex offender. After committing the crimes, he evaded police for a week before eventually surrendering at Mansfield House Police Station in Leicester. During his interview, Trollope claimed he had been on a drug binge and couldn't recall his actions.
The court sentenced Trollope to two years imprisonment and issued a sexual harm prevention order. This sentence also triggered the activation of a suspended sentence given to Trollope in December for a previous offense involving sending a photo or film of his private area with the intention of causing alarm, distress or humiliation.
"I'd like to thank everyone involved in this investigation and helped compile the evidence to bring this case to court," said Case officer Bethany Wright from Lincolnshire Police. "Trollope sent inappropriate messages to his victim that no child should have to see."
