Walton Paedophile Jailed for Breaching Sexual Harm Prevention Order
A Walton paedophile has been jailed after breaching a court order barring him from having undeclared smartphones.
Jake Pinhorn, 31, was handed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) in 2018 after being convicted of making and distributing indecent images of children. He was also required to sign the sex offenders' register.
However, police suspected Pinhorn was accessing the internet on an undeclared smartphone. This suspicion was confirmed when a warrant was executed at his home, where a smartphone attributed to him was discovered.
Police also discovered that Pinhorn had breached the terms of the sex offenders' register by staying at an address he had not disclosed to them.
Pinhorn admitted breaching the terms of his register and his SHPO at Guildford Crown Court and was sentenced to one year in prison.
PC John Rose, from Surrey Police's High Harm Perpetrator Unit, stated: "This outcome demonstrates our commitment to relentlessly pursuing convicted sex offenders who violate the conditions imposed upon them. Sexual Harm Prevention Orders are implemented to safeguard the community and mitigate the risk of further offenses. Any breach is taken extremely seriously, and we will not hesitate to take action."
