Electrician Jailed for Voyeurism

James Denholm, 34, has been sentenced to two years and eight months in prison for a string of voyeurism offenses committed over a decade in Aberdeen.

Denholm, an electrician, secretly filmed women in their bedrooms and bathrooms using hidden cameras, recording some of them having sex, showering, or using the toilet. His crimes were discovered after a woman found a device hidden under her bed.

Police investigations revealed the extent of Denholm's actions, which included filming himself having sex with women without their knowledge, taking photos and videos from outside their homes, and even taking a sex doll and lingerie into one victim's home, dressing it in her clothing, and photographing it.

Denholm admitted to 15 offenses involving 17 people at various addresses, two of which were committed while working as an electrician. Some of the offenses dated back to 2007, including the creation of indecent images of children.

One victim, who was secretly filmed having sex, described Denholm's actions as "disgusting." The court sentenced Denholm to two years and eight months in prison, followed by two years and six months of supervision. He was also added to the sex offenders register.
