Paedophile Jailed for Ten Years After Decades of Abuse

James Wilkinson, 56, has been sentenced to ten years in prison for a string of sexual offenses against young girls and women spanning over 25 years.

Wilkinson, of Alefounder Close, Greenstead, Colchester, was found guilty on all 16 counts, including rape and indecency with a child, after a ten-day trial at Chelmsford Crown Court.

The court heard how Wilkinson had corrupted and abused his victims, going so far as to assault one on the day of his third wedding.

When the victims testified against him, Wilkinson accused them of lying.

As Wilkinson was led from the courtroom, his victims called out "thank you" to the jurors who convicted him.
