Jayden Smith Jailed for Sexual Offences Against Children

A 19-year-old man from Southampton has been sentenced to two years and nine months in prison for sexual offences against children.

Jayden Jack Robert Smith, of Blendworth Lane, pleaded guilty to causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and two counts of having sexual communications with a child. The offences occurred in July 2024.

Smith followed a young victim in his car, isolating him in a wooded area in Botley before asking the child to expose himself. He also admitted to sending sexual communications to another child from a different county and inciting them to perform a sexual act.

In addition to his prison sentence, Smith will be required to sign the sex offenders register for life and subject to a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a five-year restraining order. A deprivation order covers two mobile phones and a dash cam.
