Halewood Man Jailed for Child Sex Offenses

John Charles Hamilton, 40, of Ribble Road, Halewood, was sentenced to two years and nine months imprisonment at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, February 1st. Hamilton pleaded guilty to breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and possessing indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of a child.

The court heard that in October of last year, officers conducted a routine visit to Hamilton's home under the terms of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order. While checking his electronic devices, officers discovered a screenshot of a toddler saved on his tablet, which constituted a breach of his order.

All of Hamilton's devices were seized, and detectives found more images of children under 16 years of age on them.
