Court Sentences Man for Historic Sexual Offenses

A man was sentenced to 14 years in prison for historic sexual offenses against four children.

The defendant, John Keevil, pleaded guilty to 22 counts of sexual offenses that occurred between 1997 and 2010 in the Salisbury area.

The victims, now adult men living in Hampshire, were aged between nine and 17 at the time of the offenses.

Detective Inspector John McGonigle commended the victims for their courage in coming forward.

"This was a Hampshire Constabulary-led investigation with assistance from Wiltshire Police. I hope the result here today goes some way to giving them closure."
