Shetland Predator Jailed for Voyeurism

John Rankins, a depraved predator, has been sentenced to nearly three years in prison for installing a secret bathroom camera to spy on young girls in Shetland.

Rankins' voyeuristic actions went undetected for almost a decade until a police raid last year uncovered thousands of indecent images of children in his possession.

The court heard how Rankins' actions caused significant distress and violated the privacy of the young victims.

The judge described Rankins' crimes as "utterly depraved" and emphasized the seriousness of his offenses.
