British paedophile sexually assaulted a toddler and filmed himself performing sex acts in front of them.

A British paedophile, Jonathan Walker, has been sentenced to 13 years for sexually assaulting a toddler and distributing child abuse images online.

Walker, 33, was apprehended by South Wales Police following a tip-off from the FBI. He was caught in a pub car park after attempting to destroy his phone, which contained over 160 indecent images and videos, including 112 of the most extreme category, depicting the "violent rape" of babies.

The court heard that Walker had also filmed himself masturbating in front of the toddler, who he had sexually assaulted on multiple occasions. He admitted to sharing these images and videos with other paedophiles on messaging apps like Kik, Telegram and Signal.

Judge Catherine Richards, who described Walker's actions as "calculated and planned," sentenced him to seven and a half years in prison followed by a five-and-a-half-year extended licence period.

Walker will remain on the sex offenders register for life.
