Paedophile Jailed After Sick Haul of Abuse Images Uncovered
Kaylum Forrester, 34, was sentenced to six years in prison after being caught engaging in sexually explicit online conversations with what he believed to be a child. The arrest came after detectives from Regional Organised Crime Units in the North West and North East uncovered evidence of the online interactions.
Upon Forrester's arrest, multiple electronic devices were seized and subjected to forensic analysis. This examination revealed over 800 indecent images of children, leading to additional charges.
Forrester, residing at Liverpool Road, Huyton, admitted guilt to the charges of arranging/ facilitating the commission of a child sex offence, as well as making, possessing, and distributing indecent images of children.
In addition to the prison sentence, Forrester was issued a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be registered as a Sex Offender for life.
Detective Inspector Jon Weir from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit stated: "While there's no proof of Forrester meeting with a child during the commission of these crimes, he is undeniably a sexual predator who exploited vulnerable children without considering the devastating impact on his victims and their families."
"This conviction serves as a reminder that sexual abuse transcends geographical boundaries, occurring anywhere and inflicting immense harm. If you've experienced any form of sexual abuse, or know of a child being abused, please come forward and report it to the police."
