Paedophile bought Kinder Eggs to meet girl at McDonald's.

A paedophile was arrested outside a B&M store after attempting to meet a 13-year-old girl he had been grooming online.

Keiran Alderton, 31, who used the username "HornyScouser78" on the messaging app Kik, was caught by undercover police officers after he arranged to meet a "girl" he believed to be 13 years old at McDonald's.

Alderton, who had sent the "girl" a picture of himself in a red Liverpool t-shirt and told her he was "going to kiss the face off her", had purchased Kinder Eggs to give to the girl he was planning to meet.

After his arrest, police found 347 indecent images of children on his iPhone, including 35 of the most serious category, which involved images of children being raped.

In court, Alderton admitted to attempting sexual communication with a child, attempting to meet a child after sexual grooming, and three counts of making an indecent photograph of a child.

Judge Anil Murray sentenced Alderton to two years and two months in prison. He was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years and told to adhere to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same period.
