Paedophile Sentenced to 21 Months for Possessing Child Abuse Images

Keith Secker, 46, of Runcorn, has been sentenced to 21 months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of making and possessing indecent images of children.

Secker was found to be in possession of 83 indecent images of children, including 37 in the most severe category A, which depict child rape.

The images were discovered on Secker's laptop, which was seized by police in February 2022. A forensic examination revealed the presence of child sex abuse images, ranging from category A to category C.

Judge Simon Berkson remarked that the severity of the offences and the fact that Secker was already subject to a suspended sentence order warranted an immediate custodial sentence.

In addition to his prison sentence, Secker was ordered to sign the sex offender register for 10 years and pay a statutory surcharge of £187. His laptop was also confiscated.
