Sex offender admits making thousands of indecent images of children.

76-year-old Man Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Charges

Keith Taylor, 76, of Dalby Close, Redcar, has admitted to possessing over 7,000 indecent images of children, including 287 category A images (the most serious), 338 category B images, and 6,585 category C images. Taylor was found guilty of these charges at Teesside Magistrates' Court.

Taylor, who appeared in court carrying a bag of groceries, also pleaded guilty to breaching a sexual harm prevention order and failing to comply with notification requirements on the sex offender's register. He did not register a Vanquis gold credit card and a Santander credit card within three days of obtaining them, as mandated by the register.

Given the volume of images, magistrates decided to refer the case to Teesside Crown Court for sentencing. Taylor will appear at the Crown Court on May 12.

Taylor was represented by Andrew McGloin and was given unconditional bail. A probation report will be carried out before his sentencing hearing.

During the brief hearing, Taylor only confirmed his name, date of birth, and address, and entered pleas of guilty.
