Convicted Sex Offender Found in Poole After Going Missing from Southampton

Police have located 49-year-old Leonard Ayres, a convicted sex offender who had been reported missing from Southampton. Ayres, who suffers from schizophrenia, was last seen at his supervised living accommodation at 9:45 pm on Sunday night.

Authorities had urged the public not to approach Ayres as he was without his medication, which could potentially cause him to act erratically.

Ayres, who resides in Lordshill, Hampshire, has known connections to Poole. He is managed under multi-agency public protection arrangements.

He was convicted of sexual offenses in 2001 and subsequently in 2006 for sexual activity with a child, having served sentences for these crimes.
