Hundreds of sickening images of children found on sex offenders phone and laptop.
Police uncovered a disturbing cache of 1,853 child abuse images and 87 bestiality images on the phone of a sex offender, Lilith Kovers, 27, from Hull.
Kovers, who admitted to the charges, came to the attention of authorities in November 2022 when images were found uploaded to the internet. During a search of her home in December, police discovered a staggering amount of illegal content on her phone and laptop, including images and videos categorized as depicting the most severe forms of child abuse.
The investigation revealed that Kovers had been part of a group that shared child abuse material online. Prosecutors said that Kovers had engaged in explicit messages with a 15-year-old and had confessed to seeking out the images for a "high."
In court, Kovers expressed remorse and claimed to have renounced her interest in child abuse material. She was sentenced to a 16-month suspended prison term, ordered to undergo 30 days of rehabilitation, and placed under a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
The case highlights the ongoing problem of online child sexual exploitation and the importance of reporting any suspicious activity to the authorities.
