Preying on vulnerable schoolgirls.
A self-proclaimed playboy who preyed on two vulnerable schoolgirls has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Lucas Irons, 28, was convicted of two counts of sexual activity with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and sexual assault at Oxford Crown Court.
Judge Peter Ross branded Irons a dangerous individual and condemned his "calculated and premeditated" offenses, handing him an extended license period of four years.
"It is clear from the evidence in this case that you were out of control," Judge Ross said. "You were using networks of young girls as a means of targeting them for your sexual ends."
The court heard that Irons used social media to target one victim, lying about his age and convincing her he wanted a relationship. He then invited the schoolgirl to his home, where she felt pressured into having sex with him.
Irons also preyed on his second victim in Littlemore Park, sexually assaulting her after separating her from her friends. The victim was left distressed and fled the park to a friend's house.
Irons, who appeared via video link from Bullingdon Prison, continues to maintain his innocence but "respects" the jury's decision. He also claimed he did not deserve to be branded a paedophile.
The prosecutor, Kevin James Barry, described Irons as having a "powerful sexual attraction" towards schoolgirls. Irons was also made subject to a sexual harm prevention order and must pay a victim surcharge.
