Sexually assaulting another man while he slept.

Man Sentenced to 5 Years for Sexual Assault

Martin Marine, 48, of Hartlepool, was sentenced today at Carlisle Crown Court after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old man. Marine, who was already on the sex offenders register for life, befriended his victim while out in Bowness on February 8th of this year.

After going back to the victim's house with another person to continue drinking, Marine claimed he could not get home. The victim agreed to let him stay the night. Later, the victim fell asleep and awoke to find himself being sexually assaulted by Marine.

Detective Constable Garin Scott of Cumbria Police described Marine as a dangerous man who targets young and vulnerable men.
