Raped a 13-year-old girl in a hotel after befriending her on a beach.

Man Jailed for Raping 13-Year-Old Girl in Blackpool Hotel

A 32-year-old man, Matthew Tallentire, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for raping a 13-year-old girl in a Blackpool hotel.

According to Lancashire Police, Tallentire befriended the girl and two adults on Blackpool beach in the summer of 2020. He later attacked the girl in the hotel, leading to his conviction on two counts of rape and one count of attempted rape at Preston Crown Court.

Tallentire, formerly of Blackpool but now of no fixed address, was sentenced on Friday at Preston Crown Court. The victim had travelled to Blackpool with the two adults.
