Had X-rated conversations with decoy 12-year-old girl.
Undercover police apprehended Michal Warchol, 26, who attempted to engage in sexually explicit online conversations with a decoy 12-year-old girl.
Warchol, from Hull, admitted to attempting to communicate sexually with a child and attempting to cause a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
The undercover operation, initiated by Hull police, involved creating an online profile posing as a 12-year-old girl named "Alice." Warchol contacted "Alice" on January 6, 2022, identifying himself as a 24-year-old from the Orchard Park area.
Throughout January and February, Warchol engaged in sexually explicit online conversations with "Alice," using terms like "babe," "beautiful," and "hot" to entice her. He also sent intimate selfie pictures with suggestive captions.
Warchol, who has a history of 13 previous offenses, expressed remorse for his actions and attributed his behavior to a chaotic lifestyle.
Judge Tahir Khan KC sentenced Warchol to 200 hours of unpaid work, a 43-day sex offender treatment program, and 15 days of rehabilitation. He also issued a five-year sexual harm prevention order and required Warchol to register as a sex offender for five years.
Judge Khan emphasized that any breach of the order could result in an 18-month prison sentence.
