Sex offender convicted of multiple offences, including sexual assault of two teenage girls.

A Lewisham man, Mohammed Aminu, has been convicted of engaging in sexual communication with a child and three sexual assaults, including on 14 and 16-year-old girls.

The 25-year-old, of Nightingale Grove in Hither Green, appeared at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, October 20, where he pleaded guilty to four offences.

Aminu admitted to sexually assaulting two teenage girls by touching on March 22, 2022. He also admitted to communicating with a 14-year-old girl about sexual intercourse on March 23, 2022.

Furthermore, he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a third person on March 25, 2022.

These offences occurred just weeks after Aminu was found guilty of stalking a woman at Lewisham Shopping Centre between May and July 2022. He was sentenced to six weeks in prison for this offense in May 2023.

Judge Jonathan Mann KC ordered a pre-sentence report and told Aminu, "Your offending in all of these occasions shows a worrying escalation from what you've done before."

Aminu will remain in custody until his sentencing.
